Enppi has announced in a statement published on October 13, 2019, that the first well of the Baltim South West (BSW) field has been put into production at an initial rate of 100 million standard cubic feet per day (mscf/d) through a new offshore production platform connected to the Abu Madi onshore gas plant through a 44-kilometer-long pipeline.
The field’s production will upsurge to 500 mscf/d after the completion of the upgrading scheme of drilling new 5 wells by the second quarter of 2020.
Enppi has successfully accomplished its scope of work, which comprised the detailed engineering works for the platform’s topside facilities (TSF) and the new multi-phase sub-sea pipeline with a 26” diameter and 18 km in length, connecting the Baltim concession in the Mediterranean Sea and Nidoco-11 Area up to IFC revision; issuance of MRQ’s, TER’s, and Vendor Print Review, as well as the associated procurement services; expediting and inspection, up to Ready-for-Shipment for all TSF equipment and line pipe material, together with the supervision of the subsequent offshore commissioning and start-up tests.
