During the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition (EGYPES 2024), a cooperation agreement was signed regarding the establishment of a biogas production unit.
The agreement was signed by Wael Lotfy, Chairman of Enppi Company; Nabawy Mahmoud, Chairman of the Petroleum Pipeline Company (PPC); and Talaat Abdel Qawi, on behalf of Bioenregy Company.
The signed agreement was sealed within the framework of the strategic social responsibility plan for the Egyptian petroleum sector approved by Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, to achieve the Egyptian petroleum sector’s participation in economic and sustainable development and work to improve the living conditions of local communities through Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The agreement included coordination between the concerned companies in accordance with the social responsibility strategy and in accordance with the third axis of environmental protection projects to support rural communities and improve the standard of living by providing an economical and sustainable source of energy by supporting environmental compatibility and safe disposal of waste.
Moreover, the agreement included providing biogas as a source of clean energy and high-quality organic fertilizer, which leads to spreading environmental thought within rural communities and urging the use of science and innovation to improve the quality of life in the countryside.
