The Engineering for the Petroleum & Process Industries (ENPPI) hosted the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) training course, titled Global Trends in Energy Efficiency, at its headquarters in Cairo from November 4 to 6, 2024.
The training course witnessed the participation of more than 120 participants from various Arab member states.
The opening of the training course was attended by OAPEC Secretary General, Jamal Al Loughani, and the accompanying delegation, along with Samir Raslan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources for Agreements and Exploration and Representative of the Arab Republic of Egypt in OAPEC.
OAPEC and ENPPI officials expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and achieving the goals outlined in their 2023 agreement. This includes investing in human resources, enhancing skills, building capacity, and sharing technical expertise among Arab member states.
In his speech, Al Loughani emphasized the importance of implementing a robust strategy to enhance energy efficiency and diversify energy sources across the region, especially given the challenges facing global energy sectors.
He also highlighted the ongoing efforts of Arab countries to balance efficiency with the responsible use of diverse energy sources to ensure a sustainable future, underscoring the critical role of training and development in building national human capacities across various energy fields.
Al Loughani stated that these training courses reaffirm the organization’s commitment to supporting and refining the skills of participants from member states.
At the conclusion of the training course, ENPPI’s HR and Training Management Team presented certificates of completion to all participants and awarded certificates of appreciation to OAPEC officials.
