Italian Eni is set to complete the sixth processing unit of the natural gas field Zohr by the end of February 2019 to boost production to 2.3 billion cubic feet per day (bcf/d) instead of the current 2.1 bcf/d production, a source at the oil and gas sector told Al Borsa News.
Eni completed drilling the tenth well at Zohr field, which was gradually linked to the production of the operating processing plants, the source said.
The production average of each well at Zohr records around 250 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d), the source said, adding that the production from the ten wells has been decreased until the completion of the sixth processing plants that will boost capacity to 2.4 bcf/d.
Drilling one well at Zohr field takes around two months, the source noted.
