Eni has started implementing the seventh natural gas processing plant at Zohr field with a capacity of 400 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d) of natural gas, a source in the oil and gas sector told Al Borsa Newspaper.

The plant is set to boost the field’s production capacity to 2.7 billion cubic feet per day (bcf/d) by the end of July 2019, the source noted.

Eni has completed linking 10 wells at Zohr to the production map with a capacity of 2.3 bcf/d.

The company has completed implementing the sixth processing plant by the end of March 2019, increasing Zohr field’s production to 2.3 bcf/d of natural gas.
