Eni announced that it has achieved the highest adjusted net profit in 2021 reaching EUR 4.7 billion since 2012, the company disclosed in a press release.
The company pointed out that the increase in its profits was due to “better operating performance, improved results of equity investments and remarkable recovery in the upstream scenario.”
It also achieved EUR 9.3 billion in earnings before interest and taxes from exploration and production (E&P) activities, which is a 500% increase compared to 2020.
Eni added that it delivered excellent exploration results through adding more than 700 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe) of new resources to its production.
