Italy’s Enel has reached an agreement with Algeria’s Sonatrach to extend the natural gas supply contract, Reuters reported.

The two companies has agreed on extending the deal for eight years, with the possibility of additional two years.

The current deal between Enel and Sonatrach is supposed to expire at the end of 2019, and the new contract is expected to commence from January 1.
