ENAP Sipetrol Egypt has recently conducted medical convoy in collaboration with Misr El-Kheir Foundation (MEK) at Qara Um El Saghir village located at Matrouh governorate in the Western Desert where ENAP Sipetrol has its operated concession.
On November 22nd, ENAP Sipetrol Egypt Branch General Manager, Denisse Abudinén; and Matrouh Deputy Governor, Dina Osman, visited the second day of the Medical convoy which targeted Qara Um El Saghir 750 out of the total population with the goal of identifying chronic diseases, increasing awareness, and improve residents’ health condition. The convoy included eight medical specialties, blood analysis laboratory and pharmacy.
Abudinen and Osman also visited the construction work being executed at the village to raise the efficiency of the handicraft workshop, which will be equipped with all required tools and machines, and training 80 females in all handicrafts (embroidery – sewing). This initiative was executed to ensure that every female has the skills, necessary tools, and resources, so the newly trained ladies can start their own business and improve their living standards by selling their products at Siwa city or producing their own clothing for their families. Also, they have inspected the progress in building seven new houses for eligible residents in the village.
Moreover, ENAP Sipetrol Egypt has provided the school village with new furniture, computers, and different educational tools in 2022, then in 2023, students were provided with uniform to improve their learning environment experience.
It’s worth mentioning that all initiatives are being carried out by ENAP Sipetrol Egypt are part of its Corporate social responsibilities projects which is within the framework of Egypt sustainable development goals adopted within the presidential initiative, Haya Karima (“Decent Life”).
