Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has honored a group of geologists at the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA) for successfully completing various international training programs provided in cooperation with Australian, Japanese, and Chinese institutions.

El Molla delivered the certificates to the second group of the EMRA’s geologists for passing the JORC program which was organized by EMRA and Australia’s AusIMM in order to enhance their skills to meet global standards.

During the ceremony, El Molla affirmed that developing human capabilities is one of the main pillars for modernizing the mining sector, which will positively contribute to the nation’s efforts to attract investments. It also provides adequate human resources needed for Egypt’s mining projects.

He noted that mineral resources development will not be achieved without adopting upgraded scientific and operational tools as well as providing qualified cadres.
