El Sisi Reviews Eni’s Operations

Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, met with Italian Eni’s CEO, Claudio Descalzi, in the attendance of Prime Minister, Sherif Ismail and Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, to review the company’s activities’ in Egypt, especially in Zohr natural gas field, Al Mal News reported.

Descalzi reviewed the developments of the various projects carried out by the company in Egypt, adding that the country is one of Eni’s most important markets. This is because of the promising opportunities in Egypt’s energy sectors, including the renewable energy sector.

Meanwhile, El Sisi praised the partnership with Italian Eni and said that the activities carried out by the company have been done in a professional manner and based on global standards. Additionally, the president pointed to the need to adhere to timetables set for the development of the country’s gas fields.

The president is looking forward to Eni’s work continuing and hopes that the company will help the country make new discoveries.
