Apache Corporation has announced that its CEO John Christmann met with the President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to discuss the company’s longstanding partnership with Egypt. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi and executives from Apache including Steve Riney, president and CFO and Greg McDaniel, vice president and acting country manager.
During the meeting, President praised the company’s successes in Egypt over the past three decades, appreciating the company’s plans to expand its business in Egypt in accordance with the highest international standards, and stressing the country’s keenness to enhance and increase investments in the energy sector in connection with Egypt’s growing needs in this regard.

Christmann IV, Apache’s CEO, “We look forward to continuing the progress on the Egyptian modernization initiatives launched at year-end 2021 and working with the newly appointed cabinet as we continue our longstanding partnership with Egypt to responsibly help maximize the country’s energy resources.”
In the course of this constructive conversation, the leaders addressed critical topics including progress on the Egyptian modernization initiatives, efforts to reduce emissions across the operations, and ongoing exploration and development programs.
