El Molla Tours ANRPC Projects to Review Progress

Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, visited Alexandria to follow up on enhancements to increase the production capacity of oil refining and manufacturing projects.

The Minister visited the Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemical Company (ANRPC) to monitor the progress of new projects underway and implemented to raise performance efficiency and increase productivity, especially of high-octane gasoline.

El Molla confirmed that the challenges facing the company were overcome by adopting a clear vision for the future involving expansion plans for production units as well as ambitious future plans.

The minister praised the remarkable results achieved during the fiscal year 2022/23 as a result of the sincere efforts of the company’s employees and the full coordination with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) within the framework of the Ministry’s integrated strategy.

During the tour, El Molla attended the meeting of the General Assembly to approve the results of the work of the fiscal year 2022/23.

El Molla listened to a presentation by Salah Gaber, the company’s Chairman, during the fiscal year 2022/23, which included the most essential performance indicators, which demonstrated tangible development in the company’s production rates of high-octane benzene.

The company production high-octane benzene, including those with octane levels of 92 and 95, reached about 1.9 million tons during the year. This is an increase of 130,000 tons over the previous year, representing about 30% of the total domestic production of this vital product.
