Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Tarek El Molla met with World Bank (WB) Vice President for Infrastructure, Makhtar Diop, to discuss current developments to Egypt’s oil and gas infrastructure, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
El Molla and Diop reviewed the regional infrastructure that could be used to help Egypt become an oil and gas regional trading hub.
They also discussed how Egypt could provide its expertise to support African countries that have recently announced new petroleum discoveries.
The meeting included discussions about how the WB could increase its support for the Ministry of Petroleum’s Modernization Program.
