Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has met with the CEO of SLB Olivier Le Peuch to explore strengthening bilateral technological cooperation to support the Egyptian petroleum sector.

This came on the sidelines of CERAWeek among a slew of meetings conducted by the minister to strengthen cooperation with global energy giants. 

The meeting also witnessed discussions on the ways of supporting the energy transition efforts, especially in light of the company’s contribution to the launch of the Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG) project.

Additionally, the parties reviewed the activities of SLB in Egypt and the progress of exploration missions, discoveries, seismic surveys, and plans for the coming period.
