The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, handed out certificates for 20 employees in the petroleum sector from the middle management program trained by Halliburton, in light of the human resources (HR) management pillar in the Modernization Project, according to the ministry’s press release.

El Molla said that as human resources (HR) are the main source of development in the sector, a number of programs was designed to advance the HR through an integrated program for the petroleum sector and enhance its contribution in the economic growth.

The minister pointed that this program aims at preparing young cadres in the sector starting from their youth to the highest management positions.

He confirmed that the youth qualifications contribute to the sector’s success and that the middle management program aims at establishing a group of qualified individuals capable of leading the future of the Egyptian oil sector, appreciating the role and participation of foreign partners in supporting this program.

El Molla also pointed to the importance of health, safety, and environment (HSE) in the petroleum industry, confirming the importance of people’s commitment to safety measures.

He added that this program offers a broad vision about the industry, enabling it to focus mainly on exploration and production (E&P) activities, in addition to management skills such as strategic thinking and finance.
