El Molla Reviews SIDPEC’s Development Work

Egyptian Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, visited Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Company (SIDPEC) to review the company’s development work, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

During the visit, Mosaad El Kasaby, head of SIDPEC, explained the measures taken by the company to secure the local market’s demands of polyethylene and export surplus, secure foreign currency, and support Egypt’s economy.

Moreover, El Kasaby announced that work is ongoing in the $1.2 billion worth propylene derivatives complex’ expansion project, producing 500,000 tons of propylene and 450,000 tons of polypropylene, which boosts natural gas production and reflects integration between oil and gas companies.
