El Molla Reviews HR Management Pillar Development

Egyptian Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, met with the HR Management pillar team to review the recent updates in the HR Management projects, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The meeting reviewed the recent updates in the Middle Management training program as 114 young people enrolled into the first batch of the training and joined developed programs prepared in cooperation with Schlumberger in March 2019. The ministry is preparing to enroll other groups into the program with international oil companies (IOCs) in Egypt.

Moreover, the ministry is preparing to launch phase 2 of the health, safety and environment (HSE) training to further develop the capabilities of employees in the HSE departments as the first phase ended successfully.

The meeting further reviewed the ongoing development program in Badr El-Din Petroleum Company (Bapetco), which started after signing eight memoranda of understandings (MoUs) with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Royal Dutch Shell.

Egypt completed evaluating leaderships according to a scientific approach in cooperation with a global consultant. This evaluation is considered to be the first phase of establishing an institutional system and developed mechanism to choose and evaluate leaders based on scientific and practical approaches.
