Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla held a meeting with the COO of Wintershall Dea, Dawn Summers; Senior Vice President, Managing Director Egypt of Wintershall Dea, Sameh Sabry; and Undersecretary of the Ministry for Exploration and Agreements, Samir Raslan, to review the latest developments of the company’s investments in Egypt.

This came on the sidelines of ADIPEC 2023, hosted in UAE.

During the meeting, the minister reviewed Wintershall Dea’s operations in natural gas production as the company is the main operator for Disouq and East Damanahor areas in the Delta. 

They also showcased the company’s plan to speed the development of natural gas resources and increase production from its concession areas besides its partnership with bp in concession areas at the Mediterranean. 

Additionally, both sides examined the progress of cooperation within the framework of the agreement between Wintershall Dea and the Egyptian Holding Natural Gas Company (EGAS) to reduce emissions at Disouq field which achieved zero emissions from flare gas.
