El Molla Reviewed Petrobel’s Nedoco Progress

A press release to Egypt Oil&Gas stated that the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, received a report from Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel)’s CEO, Tarek Hassan, regarding the work at Nedoko Field. The report showed that the company finished testing its new wells Nedoco South West7 and Nedoco West 3. In addition, the company added Nedoco South West 2 to the national grid early November, with a capacity of 85mcf/d of gas.

This came parallel to the required drilling work that remains along the amendments to pipelines and aims to boost productivity and efficiency.

Petrobel successfully tested Nedoco West 3 well and added it to the national production grid in late November, with an initial capacity of 90mcf/d of gas that is able to expand to 140mcf/d. In September 2015, the company provided temporary facilities with  a capacity of 200mcf/d of gas, for the expansion. Accordingly, Nedoco’s production increased to 870mcf/d of gas, with plans for it to reach 900mcf/d of gas to be extracted from the 9 wells in the area.

The report added that Petrobel is in the process of drill 3 new development wells in West Nedoco, with capacity around 200mcf/d of gas. Furthermore, the company is also preparing to drill the first well in Nedoco West4 as a part of its plan to boost the field’s production to 1bcf/d of gas.
