El Molla Provided Aid to Ras Gharib

A press release to Egypt Oil&Gas stated that the Egyptian oil and gas sectors contributed in emergency relief operations all over the country. It participated in relief operations in Ras Gharib to face the consequences of floods. Upon orders from the Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, oil and gas companies arranged with the Red Sea governor to offer their equipment in Eastern Dessert and Red Sea concessions to help in the relief operations through saving citizens and water suction process.

Furthermore, the petroleum sector helped in affording rubber boats navy units to save citizens and providing aids that include the distribution of blankets, food, electricity generators and oxygen tanks to the central hospital in Ras Gharib. An operation room and an emergency room were established in the General Petroleum Company (GPC) to followup on relief  procedures.

In addition, Petroleum Arrows Company took a part in the emergency relief operations by transporting petroleum to provide immediate fuel filling in affected areas. Moreover, Misr Petroleum and Cooperation petroleum Company (COOP) pumped 108 tons of diesel to GPC tankers to ensure the availability of fuel to fill water suction machines.
