El Molla Participates in Dialogue with House of Representatives’ Energy and Environment Committee

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has highlighted the importance of engaging and cooperating with Parliament and the Energy and Environment Committee of the House of Representatives.

El Molla stated that the integrated strategy, adopted by the Supreme Committee for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), is one of the outcomes of these productive discussions.

In the same context, he also pointed out the Ministry’s continued support of the CSR strategy.

The minister highlighted work on establishing a specialized school for technical artisanal mining in Marsa Alam and an emergency hospital in Assiut at a cost of about EGP 270 million.

El Molla further explained efforts to support research and exploration work in the Red Sea region for which special agreements have been signed. He added that drilling work will also begin early next year.

For his part, Talaat El Sewedy, Chairman of the Energy and Environment Committee of the House of Representatives, and his deputies, highlighted the importance of the inspection tour and the Minister’s interest in responding, clarifying and supporting the bonds of cooperation with the Committee and the House of Representatives and their support for the petroleum sector in continuing to achieve optimal business results.
