During the activities of the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2024), Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has held a meeting with the Director General of Observatoire Méditerranéen de l’Energie (OME) Houda Ben Jannet Allal in which they addressed areas of cooperation in energy projects including renewables.

Allal emphasized the need for a collaborative study to explore the possibilities for renewable energy and address the associated challenges as well as studying the necessity of each country for energy, She highlighted Egypt’s significant energy market and its potential for local manufacturing compared to many countries in the region. she also stressed the importance of leveraging the latest technologies across various energy fields.

El Molla reiterated Egypt’s openness to global cooperation and expressed keen interest in the studies conducted by the Observatoire Méditerranéen de l’Energie, underscoring Egypt’s vast capabilities across all energy chains.
