On the sidelines of the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES), the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, hasĀ met with a delegation from Bechtel to hold important talks.
He stressed the importance of constructive cooperation and continuous partnership between the two sides, focusing on the areas of energy transition and carbon removal.
Minister El Molla referred to the cooperation between Egypt and Bechtel in carbon removal, with 28 projects already existing.
He also emphasized the importance of auditing studies to clarify the projects that will be funded and presenting them to international financing institutions.
The Bechtel delegation included Rich Wall, Bechtel Vice President; Justin Siberell, Region President, Europe and the Middle East; Karim El-Dessouky, Bechtel Egypt Country Manager; and Emad Khedr, Bechtel Commercial Manager.
The delegation expressed their delight with the level of cooperation with Egypt. They also expressed their desire to further increase this cooperation and align their visions to expand its capabilities in the current period.
The Bechtel delegation also invited the Minister to open the first school for safety and risk management in Ain Sokhna, upon its completion.
