Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, met with Australian Ambassador to Egypt, Neil Hawkins, to discuss cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil, gas, and mineral resources. The meeting included talks in ways of opening new cooperation scoops, how to benefit from the Australian experience and technologies in the oil and gas sector’s projects, and investment opportunities as well as the measures needed to increase oil and gas investments, reported Egypt Oil & Gas.
During the meeting, Hawkins pointed out his country’s interest in the Egyptian investments, in light of the new investment climate, which encourages companies to boost more investments. He also stated his support to Egypt’s economic reform, adding that the relation between the two countries is deep.
The ambassador offered an official invitation from the Australian energy minister to El Molla to attended International Mining and Resources Conference, which will be held in Melbourne, Australia in September 2017.
