The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, announced the launch of the third batch of the Human Capacity Development in the Mining Sector program, which is implemented by the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA) in cooperation with Enppi, as part of developing and modernizing the mining sector.
The third batch includes 80 trainees from EMRA’s employees representing various job levels from young professionals, middle management, and senior management. The program focuses on developing the managerial and technical skills of the trainees as well as the economics of the mining industry.
El Molla ensured that the mining sector witnessed a leap in legislation, regulatory procedures, and investments. He also affirmed that all these investments must be supported by human development. In addition, he directed the trainees to intensify their efforts to benefit from the program, which was prepared with international standards, highest technological means, and best trainers.
This came during a meeting held by El Molla via video conference in the presence of Alaa Khashab, Deputy Minister for Mineral Resources, Osama Farouk, Chairman of EMRA, and Ashrf Bahaa, Chairman of Enppi, with the newly enrolled cadres of the third batch program.
It is worth noting that the first and second batches have successfully passed with a total of 170 trainees. After the end of the third batch, three more batches will be launched before the end of 2021 with a total of 450 trainees for each batch.
