El Molla Launches Fourth Batch of Mining Capacity Building Program

The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla announced the launch of the fourth batch of the “Human Capacity Development program” in the Mining Sector.

Seeking to develop and modernize Egypt’s mining industry, the program is being implemented by the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA) in cooperation with Enppi.

The fourth batch includes 63 trainees from EMRA’s employees. Targeting employees on multiple job levels, this program will witness the participation of  young professionals, middle management, and senior management. It also focuses on enhancing the trainees’ managerial skills, technical skills, economic knowledge of the mining industry.

Furthermore, El Molla advised launching a technical program for EMRA’s geologists, drawing upon the expertise of global mining companies and successful models in the field.

This came during a meeting held with the trainees in the presence of Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources Alaa Khashab, EMRA’s Chairman Khaled El-Sheshtawy, and Enppi’s Chairman Ashraf Bahaa.

It is worth noting that the first, second and third batches have successfully passed with a total of 248 trainees.
