Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has met with the Japanese Ambassador in Cairo Oka Hiroshi.
The meeting tackled arrangements for the Japan-Arab Economic Forum, which will be held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, on July 10th over the course of two days.
During the meeting, El Molla highlighted the depth and strength of relations between Egypt and Japan., pointing out that the forum represents an opportunity to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences in the fields of clean energy, digital transformation, and securing energy supplies.
For his part, Hiroshi invited El Molla to participate in the ministerial session of the forum.
Hiroshi stated that the forum will be held in coordination with the League of Arab States and will witness broad participation from economic, financial and business experts and representatives of international companies and the private sector.
The forum will discuss ways of economic development and sustainability between Arab countries and Japan, and will address energy security for all parties and ways to confront challenges such as climate change, the application of digital technologies, digital infrastructure, reducing emissions, and other global trends, Hiroshi noted.
