Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has issued a number of new appointments and assignments for key petroleum sector positions, the ministry said in a statement.

Samir Mohamad Mohiuddin Mohamad Raslan was appointed Head of the Central Department for Exploration Affairs with his supervision of contracts and agreements at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud Mostafa was appointed Vice Chairman of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) for Production and as a member of the Executive Board of EGPC.

Ayman Abdel-Badie Abdel-Ghaffar Abdel-Ghany was appointed EGPC’s Vice Chairman for Transport and Distribution and a member of the Executive Board.

Aladdin Mohamed Amin Eid was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alexandria Petroleum Company.

Fathi Mansour El Sayed El Zikry was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Petroleum Pipeline Company.

Tharwat Samir Mahmoud Ahmed El Gendy was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of Agiba Petroleum Company.

Khaled Ibrahim Mohamed Hassan was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of Alexandria Petroleum Maintenance Company (Petromaint).

Mohamed El Sayed Sobhi Mansour Amer was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Misr Fertilizers Production Company (MOPCO).

Hassan Ibrahim Ibrahim Badawy will assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Egyptian Company for Gas Transport and Distribution (Butagasco) as of January 31, 2023.
