The Canadian ambassador invited the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, to attend the Global Petroleum Show in Canada next year, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The invitation was extended during a meeting between the Canadian Ambassador, Jess Dutton, and El Molla to discuss boosting cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil, gas, and mining.
Canadian investors are interested in exploring investment opportunities in Egypt, particularly in the oil, gas, and mining fields, Dutton said. He further noted that Canadian films will participate in the EGYPS Petroleum Show next February in Cairo.
Canadian companies working in the Egyptian oil and gas sector include Sea Dragon (SDX), TransGlobe, Petroceltic, and Dover Oil Company.
