Egyptian Petroleum Minister Tarek El Molla, inaugurated the ‘Egypt Energy Hub in the Era of Digital Transformation’ seminar, which was hosted by Raya IT Company, Al Borsa News reported.

Egypt seeks to become a regional hub for oil and gas, especially because the oil and gas sector is considered the country’s growth engine due to the recent petroleum discoveries in the Mediterranean deep-water and Nile Delta, which offer new opportunities in the Egyptian exploration and production (E&P) sector, El Molla said in the speech given on his behalf by Magdy Galal, Executive Vice President of Operations at Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), and director of Egypt oil and gas trading hub project.

Technology has become a vital factor in transforming Egypt into a regional energy hub as it is considered the driving force for the future and coping with developments, El Molla added in his speech.
