Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, met with John Christmann, CEO and President of Apache Corporation, on the sidelines of CERAWeek, the ministry said in a statement.

The meeting discussed plans and projects implemented by the company for research, exploration, and production (E&P) of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Desert of Egypt.

The two leaders further reviewed ways to enhance cooperation and increase investments in light of the distinguished partnership between the petroleum sector and Apache Corporation as the largest producer of crude oil in Egypt.
