Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has affirmed the importance of the partnership and cooperation with the international associations as a basic pillar in implementing programs to raise human efficiencies and capabilities which is part of the Modernization program.
He said that during his meeting with the Fulbright-Egypt Executive Director, Maggie Nassif, and the accompanying delegation discussing the programs and educational scholarships provided by Fullbright, aiming at cultural and educational exchange between Egypt and US.
El Molla elaborated that such cooperation and partnership plays crucial role in raising the human competences according to international standards.
Also, the meeting witnessed a review of opportunities and areas of cooperation between the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR) and the Fulbright Commission to maximize the benefit from scholarship programs offered by Fulbright, which will contribute to gaining scientific and practical expertise that serves various fields.
During the meeting, it was agreed to hold a working session that included HR’s officials from the MoPMR and representatives of the Fulbright Commission to introduce the regulations and rules of participation and admission to scholarships and how to apply for qualifying tests for that.
It is noteworthy that the Fulbright Commission offers fully funded scholarships to university graduates to study a master’s degree in the US for a maximum of two years. It also offers the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Program, which provides an opportunity for young people and professionals in mid-level jobs to develop their professional, administrative and leadership skills through a 10-month program in the US in addition to joint supervision of doctoral theses through fully funded scholarships for doctoral students in Egyptian universities to conduct the necessary research.
