El Molla: GPC’s Growth Reflects Clear Vision and Investment Boost

During the general assembly of the General Petroleum Company (GPC), Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla has explained GPC’s recent progress in production came as a result of a clear business strategy and unlimited support from the Ministry and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC).

This comes as assigning new work areas and increasing the investment plan allocations become necessary to intensify exploratory drilling programs and achieve new discoveries. These initiatives will thereby increase the company’s production, which supports the national economy, especially since its production is purely for Egypt.

During the meeting, Nabil Abdel Sadek, GPC’s Chairman, presented the most important results achieved during the first half of the fiscal year (FY) 2023/24, and the features of the investment plan intended to be implemented during FY 2024/25.

Meanwhile, El Molla highlighted the importance of the company’s role in the community service activities it performs in the company’s various areas of operation as a national role and an inherent right for our people in these areas.

The minister also pointed out the importance of environmental compatibility projects and the success achieved in them, as well as the importance of applying occupational safety and health procedures to preserve the lives of workers, equipment and facilities.

At the end of the assembly, El Molla thanked the company’s management and all employees in its various work sites for the sincere efforts and outstanding results achieved, and asked them to make more efforts to increase the company’s production rates during the coming period.
