El Molla Gives Approval to Start Offering DCS Digital Services to Domestic Gas Customers

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla gave the go-ahead for a digital customer service (DSC) pilot project, which Town Gas designed and implemented, the ministry said in a statement.

The DSC is the first of its kind through which the customer can submit requests for all natural gas delivery services anywhere. In its first phase, it will operate in the Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Ismailia and Port Said governates.

During his explanation of these new services, Town Gas Chairman Mohamed Fathy elaborated that appointments for inspections and contracting can be booked, as well as the payment of measurements, the consumption bill and charging the prepaid meter card. Fathy noted that the trial operation of the new service will take place from October 22nd, provided that Town Gas Company will spread it gradually within a scheme that meets the wishes of customers.

The Minister inspected the Town Gas mobile customer service center, which is planned to provide these services also in the places of population centers and sports clubs to facilitate the procees for customers.
