On the sidelines of the Arab Energy Conference, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla along with the Secretary General of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) Mohamed Hamel has stressed the need for oil and gas supplies which is one of the important topics being discussed during COP28.
They also stated that the oil and gas industry’s efforts help in accelerating the pace of energy transition, decarbonization and emissions reduction projects.
Moreover, the meeting tackled the cooperation between the two sides within the framework of Egypt’s membership in the organization, the role of the organization in supporting dialogue between producers and consumers, and the important role of the natural gas industry and increasing reliance on it as a clean fuel within the global energy mix.
