Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla held the third periodic meeting to follow up on plans to integrate and improve the efficiency of operations between companies with low production rates, which was allocated to production companies in the Western Desert region.
El Molla highlighted the importance of coordination between companies through the use of the available facilities in the Western Desert region, which is one of the most important areas of oil production in Egypt. He also encouraged companies to use unconventional methods to overcome challenges due to the natural decrease in production, stating that the current prices encourage partners to invest more efforts into boosting output.
It is worth noting that the Ministry’s strategy to maximize operations and production works on several levels across the petroleum system for its important economic and service role. The system for maximizing the productivity of companies with small production rates in the regions of Sinai and the Eastern and Western deserts includes encouraging work on more coordination and organizing work management between companies by exploiting the technical competencies and infrastructures of these companies to increase production.
