Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla held an extensive meeting with the heads of companies for the distribution and transportation of petroleum products, butane and natural gas affiliated with the petroleum sector, as well as foreign and private companies operating in the Egyptian market.
The meeting discussed the availability of petroleum products and natural gas supplies during the coming period in light of the increase in storage capacity in warehouses, refineries, and petroleum ports, and the regularity of import programs with regard to amounts covered through imports.
El Molla pointed out the importance of continuous follow-up on a daily basis to ensure the availability of products easily and conveniently, especially with the current holiday season as well as the harvest season, which witnesses seasonal increases in such periods and is regularly met.
El Molla pointed to the successes achieved in the field of securing fuel supplies to the local market in terms of increasing refining and storage capacities as well as the necessary facilities and increasing the lengths of oil and gas pipeline networks.
