A press release to Egypt Oil&Gas stated that Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, chaired the general assembly of the Engineering For The Petroleum & Process Industries Company (Enppi).
As a pillar for the oil and gas project development, El Molla emphasized the importance of developing technical capacities in Egypt and abroad. In this regards, El Molla stated that the development program adopted by the Ministry f Petroleum aims to develop and support youth in order for them to be able to face the upcoming challenges.
El Molla explained that the ministry has chosen a number of oil and gas firms to be offered in the publicly Egyptian Exchange Market (EGX) in efforts to bring in capital to the Egyptian Bourse.
Enppi’s CEO, Mohamed Hathout, reviewed the company’s results of the major projects awarded to the company during 2016. Enppi had already contracted on 62 projects, three of which are abroad, with total investments EGP 4.2b. The projects further included the development of Zohr field and Atoll field, as well as the improvement of naphtha and activating the catalyst of the Alexandria National Refine & Petrochemical (ANRPC).
The company had also constructed two platforms for the General Petroleum Corporation (GPC) and executed two projects for ETHYDCO for producing ethylene and polyethylene. Enppi built gas and butane recovery unit in Asiut refinery, and projects to increase the capacity of MIDOR as well as the capacities of the Taurus and Libra fields’ facilities.
