The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2024) in its seventh edition, held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

The meeting was attended by a number of CEOs and representatives of international oil and energy companies sponsoring the conference, the Secretary General of the Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF) Osama Mobarez, and the Undersecretary for the Technical Office at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Alaa Hagar.

El Molla confirmed that the next edition of the conference witnesses a radical transformation and expansion of goals and visions to launch its new name ( the Egypt Energy Show) and address all energy issues and fields.

This is within the framework of efforts aimed at transforming the conference into a global platform that attaches importance to supporting the transition towards green energy, and addresses, according to a comprehensive vision, the integration between energy resources of oil; gas; low-carbon hydrogen; emission reduction projects; technologies and solutions for preserving the environment; and new and renewable energies.

El Molla highlighted that the conference has become one of the most important global events stimulating investments and business in the global energy market, and one of the largest pillars of energy systems in Africa and the Middle East.

The minister highlighted the increasing global interest in the conference year after year and the successful partnerships resulting from it, which strengthens Egypt’s role as a regional energy center.

The seventh edition of the conference will be held in February 2024 under the slogan ‘Driving Energy Transition, Security and Decarbonization.’ More than 35,000 participants, 500 exhibiting companies, 300 speakers, 2,200 delegation members, 15 international pavilions, and 120 participating countries are expected to attend the conference.
