Egypt’s oil and gas sector needs to focus on production, not services, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, said, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

The best utilization of Egypt’s natural resources will require leadership, hard work, and integrity, the minister said.

The minister’s comments were made at the Oil Leaders’ Assessment and Selection Symposium. The event was attended by corporate and governmental leadership.

El Molla noted that the symposium would help industry leaders stay up to date on the ministry’s modernization program.
