During the announcement of Gastec’s financial results for the year 2022, Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, stressed the importance of natural gas activities and the added value it achieves to the national economy.

El-Molla praised the innovative and digital solutions provided by the company in line with the ministry’s strategy for implementing digital transformation, such as the mobile center for the conversion and maintenance of natural gas cars, the provision of mobile service for fueling cars with natural gas, and others.

He emphasized the importance of continuing to adhere to the application of all requirements of safety, occupational health and the environment in all current projects or future expansions to preserve workers and entities and ensure business sustainability.

Abdel Fattah Farahat, Gastec’s CEO, presented the company’s financial results achieved during 2022, pointing out that it had strengthened the network of natural gas supply stations by operating 36 new supply stations during the year in various governorates of the Republic, bringing the total of its operating stations to 318 stations spread in 25 governorates. It also developed and raised the operational capacity of 11 of the operating stations, and achieved the highest increase in gas sales achieved during the year, as its sales amounted to about 534 million cubic meters.
