Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla met with Mark Campbell, Chairman of Akh Gold, which operates in Egypt, on the sidelines of the Egypt Mining Forum 2023.

During the meeting, Campbell expressed his happiness to participate in the forum, praising the success of its activities, and highlighting the importance of the efforts exerted to develop the mining industry in Egypt. This is especially since there are essential and promising opportunities for exploiting mineral resources that will benefit Egypt.

Moreover, Campbell confirmed that his company started its work in Egypt in the fields of exploration and prospecting for gold in the Eastern Desert and intends to implement a drilling program in the coming period.

Campbell praised the distinguished cooperation with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA) to support aspects of collaboration and accelerate the pace of business.
