During the Strategic Conference at the Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES 2025), the ministerial panel titled “Powering Egypt’s Energy Future Collaboratively and Responsibly” explored the government’s strategies for meeting Egypt’s future energy demands.
The discussion highlighted the government’s commitment to securing energy needs and creating a welcoming atmosphere for investors focused on sustainable practices.
The panel featured prominent participants including Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources; Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy; Mohamed Shimy, Minister of Public Business Sector; and Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment. Their insights aimed to reinforce the importance of collaboration between government entities and industry stakeholders in advancing Egypt’s energy landscape.
Badawi highlighted the government’s integrated efforts to enhance investment in the energy sector, especially in the fields of exploration and production, pointing out that work is being done in a team spirit to create an attractive investment environment that facilitates the flow of new investments into the sector.
Additionally, Badawi stressed the importance of partnership and cooperation between the government and companies operating in the sector, stressing the adoption of a practical and realistic approach that ensures the success of partners because their success is our success. Badawi explained that reforms and regulatory procedures are subject to continuous review with the aim of improving the business environment.
Badawi stated that coordination between various ministries contributes to creating an enabling environment that supports decision-making and effective project implementation.
