Egypt, US Discuss Strengthening Energy Ties

Egypt and the US discussed ways to strengthen ties through an Energy strategic partnership, according to a press release.

In a meeting with  US  Senator Ted Cruz, Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources also discussed Egypt’s efforts to reinforce partnership among the Eastern Mediterranean countries in natural gas sector. El Molla discussed the measures taken to establish the Eastern Mediterranean Natural Gas Forum (EMGF) as an international organization aiming to establish economic and commercial partnership between its countries.

Furthermore, in line with the Modernization Project, El Molla reviewed Egypt’s economic reform plan to overcome challenges, and create a suitable investment climate.

El Molla also had a meeting with Chad Ranson’s, CEO of Ranson Inspection Services, LLC, where they discussed  the company’s intent for a manufacturing partnership with Egypt’s petroleum sector. EL Molla welcomed the company’s bid and said it would benefit Egypt’s endeavor to maximize local components in petroleum projects equipment.
