The ninth edition of the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition (EGYPES 2026) will commence on March 30, and run until April 1 under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, bringing together global leaders to shape the future of energy at a time where geopolitical tensions, supply chain infrastructure vulnerabilities and shifting energy alliances are redefining energy security.
Considered the premier energy event in North Africa and the Mediterranean region, EGYPES aims to address this year the industry’s most pressing priorities, from regional stability and investment resilience to digital transformation, decarbonisation and the accelerating shift toward diversified, secure energy systems.
It will host high-level participation, including President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, who is attending for the second consecutive year, alongside a number of ministers, secretaries-general of international organizations, CEOs, and leaders of major global companies operating in the energy sector and related technological solutions.
Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, stated that hosting the EGYPES conference in Cairo reflects Egypt’s success in creating an attractive and stable investment environment in the energy sector, according to the petroleum ministry’s statement.
He highlighted ongoing collaboration with international partners to maximize the benefits of Egypt’s advanced infrastructure and geographic location, positioning the country as a regional hub for energy trading and distribution.
The minister added that the first day of the conference will feature a presidential roundtable, where President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will meet with CEOs of major global energy companies. On the second day, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly will host a roundtable with executive leaders of international energy companies operating in Egypt.
He further emphasized that EGYPES 2026 represents an important strategic opportunity to open new avenues for partnerships and attract further investments, contributing to increased domestic oil and gas production, maximizing the potential of promising opportunities, and enhancing the added value and economic returns for Egypt.
Held under the theme “Transforming Energy Through Collaboration, Action, and Realism,” the event will feature more than 500 exhibiting companies and 350 international speakers representing governments, organizations, and leading energy companies. It will also host 51 national and international energy companies and 13 country pavilions.
The event includes for the first time a hub for innovation and artificial intelligence (AI) that will serve as a dedicated platform Spotlighting AI-driven technologies, start-ups, and digital breakthroughs reshaping energy efficiency and systems in the energy sector.
It will also feature a new themed Strategic Conference that will represent 40 high-level sessions across 11 programs, delving into critical themes shaping the global energy agenda, from investment and policy to security, leadership, and resilience.
