Egypt is preparing to take a part at Shell’s global festival, entitled ‘Make the Future’, which is celebrating innovative ideas and solutions concerned with global energy challenges, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The 9th round of the annual, organized by Shell in the Middle East and Asia, is entitled ‘Shell Eco-Marathon’ and will be held from March 8th to March 11th, 2018, in Singapore for the second time in a row.
Egypt’s contribution in such an event is a qualitative leap towards the world of development and manufacturing eco-friendly energy-saving vehicles. Egypt has always worked on coping with the developments in this industry which helps to save environment through efficiency and better energy resources usage. Egypt is keen to have a scientific plan toward variant energy resources to reduce harmful emissions, in order to create a more stable future with less pollution.
Egypt will participate in the event through eight student groups from six university, including Ain Shams University’s ASU Racing Team, which contributed by Firefly and Neivera projects; Alexandria University’s Engineering Faculty Team, contributing by Shario project; Cairo University’s Faculty of Engineering’s CUT Eco- Racing UC and CUT Eco-Racing teams, participating with Horos and Anobus 4 projects; GUC’s Innovators Team, contributing by Inova Blast project; Helwan University’s Helwan Super-mileage, with Sonk project; and Suez Canal University’s SCU Racing Team, featuring Camillios project.
