Egypt’s Fuel Automatic Pricing Committee has adjusted the fuel prices and increased them for Q3 2022, according to a statement.
As of July 13, the prices per liter are as follows; octane 80 at EGP 8.00; octane 92 at EGP 9.25; and octane 95 at EGP 10.75. As for diesel fuel, its price increased to EGP 7.25 per liter. Price of industrial-use mazut increased by EGP400 per ton, putting the price of the ton at EGP 5000. Mazut prices will remain unchanged for electricity generation and food industries.
This decision was driven by the average prices of Brent crude in the global energy market and the value of the Egyptian pound against the US dollar.
