The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, has participated in the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Company (OAPEC) virtual meeting which was launched from Kuwait under the presidency of Algerian Energy Minister, Abdel Madjied Attar, a press release reported.
The meeting tackled several topics including the general security report about the activities of the general secretariat of the organization. The report tackled the studies conducted by the organization on the oil and gas industry. It also follows up current situation of the international petroleum markets in light of COVID-19 and its impact on the supply and demand.
During the meeting, member countries checked the activities of companies that emerged from OAPEC and how to develop OAPEC practices.
Saudi Arabia is going to lead the next meeting of the organization and decided to postpone the 12th Arabic Energy Conference to 2023 instead of 2022 due to the current global circumstances.
