Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla met with the CEO of OGCI Climate Investments Pratima Rangarajan to discuss how to benefit from the current climate initiatives, including energy efficiency, natural gas decarbonization and methane emissions reduction.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of CERAWeek being held in the US city of Houston. Rangarajan expressed her readiness to cooperate with Egypt and share new technologies with the industry.

For his part, El Molla hailed the efforts of the initiative to support the oil and gas industry, noting that a meeting will be held between the initiative’s officials and specialists from the sector to discuss technical matters and ways to optimize the exploitation of these technologies.
