Egypt, Jordan Hold Talks on Developing Energy Infrastructure

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi held a meeting with Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, on the sidelines of ADIPEC 2024.

The meeting discussed increasing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil, gas and mineral resources, building on the achievements made previously, and working on developing the infrastructure in the two countries, whether in gas or in mining activities.

For his part, Al-Kharabsheh reviewed the activities of Egyptian companies operating in Jordan, noting the importance of the Egyptian-Jordanian partnership, especially in the field of natural gas.

Meanwhile, Badawi explained Egypt’s readiness to provide its expertise to Jordan in all oil, gas and mining activities.

The two ministers expressed their interest to enhance cooperation in the field of natural gas and liquefied natural gas through the joint use of infrastructure and facilities on both sides in order to secure gas supplies to both countries.
